The Majorelle Gardens Marrakesh travel video taken in an oasis of calm and beauty in Marrakesh, Morroco. Created by the French artist, Jacques Majorelle over almost forty years, starting in 1923, and features a Cubist villa designed by the French architect, Paul Sinoir in the 1930s.

In the 1980s, the property was purchased by the fashion designers, Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé who worked to restore it.

Today, the garden and villa complex is open to the public.

The villa houses the Islamic Art Museum of Marrakech, the Berber Museum and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.

It’s a lovely place to visit and a cool, quiet relief from the souks and squares of the centre of Marrakesh.

The Majorelle Gardens Marrakesh travel video is an edited and updated version of a longer video that is on this blog, this one, I feel, goes more to the essential parts of the garden that visitors or potential visitors would like to see.

If you are, or have been to Marrakesh and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Place Jemaa el Fnaa and the busy, winding alleyways of the souks in the medina, this will feel like you are in another city, if not in another world.

Even with the relative crowds of visitors that come to the gardens, you will surely find a peaceful spot under the greenery and within earshot of some soothing water feature – a real place to recharge your batteries in the peace and calm that is found here.
